I used to think 25-year-olds were so old. Now I’m almost one myself.
Adulting — the act of having a job and bills — is in full swing, and that takes up a lot of time! I don’t even want to think about having kids yet…
As I turned 24 last month, I started thinking about my first quarter-century of life. And I was amazed at how fast time has flown by. There was a lot of, “I remember __________. Wait, that was 15 years ago?!” Here’s a picture of me from second grade, just for fun (that was 17 years ago?!):

Life happens fast. And if we get comfortable, the days can slip by with us hardly noticing. Not knowing what’s coming next, we have to live each day like it’s our last. (Pretty sure that’s on a poster somewhere.) That’s where the idea for this list came from.
I guess it’s a bucket list, of sorts. Twenty five activities I’ve told myself I’d like to do someday. So of course I decided I needed to do them all in less than a year. Over the next 11 months, I’ll be going on new adventures, visiting new places and undoubtedly making a lot of memories. And I’m going to document it all right here on this blog.
Coming up with this list was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be. It took a month of thinking and a lot of input from my family and friends. That being said, if any of these things are also on your to-do list, you’re more than welcome to join me.
The deadline: September 25, 2016.
Without further ado, here are 25 things I’m doing before I turn 25:
1. Stand on top of a skyscraper.
2. Visit a state I’ve never been to before.
5. Volunteer with a new charity.
6. Make something and sell it for a profit.
8. Build something with my dad.
9. Ride in a hot-air balloon.
10. Watch Mary Poppins and other classics.
11. Go to a Razorbacks football game.
12. Get a Native American name.
13. Finish a 10K.
14. Go on a road trip without a plan.
16. Go to a powwow.
17. Beat Tanner Nichols at mini golf.
18. Go kayaking.
19. Learn a new meal and cook it for friends.
20. Go to the Prestonwood Christmas program.
22. Go fishing with my grandpa.
