It’s been a while since I posted an update, but I’ve been able to mark another item off my list! No. 20: Go to the Prestonwood Christmas program.

My grandparents and I went to Plano on Dec. 6, and in their words, “it was the best production I’ve seen.”

I had seen videos before going, and knew a lot of the songs, but seeing it live was nothing short of amazing. From dancers twirling from the ceiling and angels flying across the room to what seemed like a million singers and musicians, it was two incredible hours. Every song had so much thought, and so much work put into it. And it all led up to the most incredible finale, the story of the birth of Christ.

Everything about The Gift of Christmas is impressive. 1,000 cast and choir members. 13 performances. 70,000 people attending. Live camels, sheep, zebras and donkeys. Santa flying in on his sleigh. And more technology than you’d know what to do with.

Here are some of pictures of the performance I borrowed from the Internet:

And a video of one of the songs I also borrowed from the Internet:

I can’t say enough about how good this show is. If you have a chance to get to Plano next year, I highly, highly recommend you get tickets. And yes, the seats in the front are worth it. We were on the fourth row in the dead center, and our seats could not have been better.

To all the people at Prestonwood Baptist Church who put The Gift of Christmas on, you made it worth the trip from Arkansas! I hope you all got to take a nap after the last show.

P.S. I already have it on my calendar for 2016.
